I think dressing up for work gets you in a rut without even realising it. Especially when you work in a more professional environment like finance, you get too comfortable in the same old same old white shirts, striped shirts and sometimes the good old checks, more often than not, paired with a pair of black trousers {its fail safe}.

But then you wake up one day and almost feel like you are in a school wearing the same uniform everyday and losing your personality at work, because you look, well, boring. Its like you’re almost trying too hard {to look the part}.

I often get in that coccon or rut if you like to call that, and then every once in a while I get the wake up call. So on one of the Fridays when we had plans to leave early from the office for a drive and dinner later, it suddenly dawned on me that I can’t be going out like my usual self at work. Yet I can’t carry extra pair to change either, its too much hassle and too much work. So I decided to make some change to my everyday workwear and add some colour and spice sartorially! Yet sticking to the office dress code.

You don’t always have to do the matchy-matchy workplace suit, keeping that in mind I decided to break-up the suit separates in a sophisticated laid back way. A nice printed blazer and a bright top was just what I needed to pep-up my office wear. The printed blazer keeps things professional and adds a nice touch, while the coral just brightens up the look. I paired it with a pair of slim fit trousers {that was later swapped for black denims} and kept the shoes simple with my nude peep-toe heels.

You can get creative with the non-suit look by pairing a tailored blazer with printed pants or if you can go loud at work mixing the prints. Infact a basic button down and blazer will as well work with a printed pencil skirt.

They key is to learn to mix things up and experiment, while keeping the office dress code in mind. At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is you should be comfortable and look professional in whatever you are wearing at work.

The pictures above were taken after I swapped into my jeans and got rid of the office bag.

Choose compassion!

Just because we’ve always eaten animals and treated them as objects doesn’t mean it’s right 🙅🏻‍♀️

Humanity evolves when we question old habits, expand our compassion, and recognize that animals are individuals…. not products, possessions, or commodities. 🌱

🇳🇱Netherlands now officially recommends reducing meat consumption, cutting cheese intake by half, and increasing plant-based proteins.

Why? Because food choices impacts m our health, and also the climate.

And the shift goes beyond advice….. Amsterdam has even banned meat advertisements in public spaces to encourage lower-emission food choices.

A fascinating example of how climate policy is increasingly showing up in everyday life. 🌱

What can we do?
Let’s ditch animal foods and embrace a plant based diet. Compassion + health

Thought cruelty-free meant no harm to animals? Thought you were buying ethical? Think again 😬😬

👉🏻 There’s a difference brands won’t tell you — 🐰 #crueltyfree doesn’t guarantee no animals were harmed. A cruelty free product can still have fish oil, bug juice or other animal ingredients.

You need to make sure the products you’re buying are both Cruelty-Free & #Vegan!
