New Buy: Online Shoe Shopping

This is not just a box!!!!!

Lipsy Shoes(buy from here, no more available on Lipsy)

For a long time I have been obsessing over these leopard print shoes (I’ve been looking for a nice pair of pumps for the longest of time). So it was only a matter of time that I gave in and finally ordered these online from http://www.javari.co.uk/ (yes from UK) on 10 April (despite the fact that if they didn’t fit right I would probably not be able to return them. Now I must warn you I am quite a, calculated, risk taker).

Holymoly!!! Imagine my surprise when the postman arrived to deliver them at my Mumbai address on 13 April. Can you believe it? An amazing pair of shoes that looked just as good as they did on the website arriving in exact three days all the way from England with all the costs paid (yes, yes, yes including the custom and import duties).

These shoes are ‘the perfect’ addition to my shoe closet and I am absolutely loving them. They lift up even a very simple outfit.

Ordering from javari.co.uk was a piece of cake. It took barely a few minutes to order and the moment I keyed in my address, they give the final cost that includes the duties, so you exactly know how much its going to cost you. Well they sure charge a bomb for shipping to India through priority express service, £20 to be precise, but considering that these shoes were on sale I didn’t mind paying the cost (it was still a bargain).

And the best part? They offer free 365-days returns. So you have one whole year to think if you want to keep them and in this period you might as well find someone who’s going to UK and can return for much cheaper.

Take two
Yayyyyyyyyy I am on cloud nine. It’s subtly placed in my shoe closet dying to be taken out for a stroll in fresh air.

Did you know your fav lipstick may have bug juice 🐞 ? Shocking?
Truth is - most lipsticks in the market contain
🐞 carmine = crushed cochineal beetles
🐑 lanolin = grease derived from sheep’s wool (waxy greasy substance secreted by sheep’s skin)
🐝 beeswax = bee vomit

Who wants to slather their lips with bug juice?
☺️ Didn’t think so.

Thankfully, there are plenty of brands doing it right. 💄 I’ve put together a handy list so you can shop vegan lipstick with ease:

👉🏻 #VeganLipstick Brands:
@violette_fr, @elfcosmetics, @kvdbeauty @milkmakeup, @tower28beauty, @inikaorganic @axiology_beauty, @lilylolouk @rarebeauty,

👉🏻 Cruelty-Free brands with Vegan options:
🐰 cruelty-free doesn’t mean a product is vegan. It simply means it’s not tested on animals, so be careful.
@tartecosmetics @rmsbeauty, @doseofcolors (most products are vegan), @charlottetilbury, @glossier @urbandecaycosmetics @nyxcosmetics

🇮🇳 Vegan Indian makeup brands
@asabeautyindia @kirobeauty @disguisecosmetics @colorchemistry.in @lovechildbymasaba @hyueofficial

Next time you buy makeup – make sure it’s #crueltyfree and #vegan! And look out for
- Natural Red 4
- E120
- *CI 75470 (misspelled in video as CI 17470 🙈)
- Carmine or Carmine lake
- Cochineal extract
- Carminic Acid

👆🏼 they’re all different names of carmine (bug juice)

Vegan and Jain food in Budapest? Everyone told me I’ll have a hard time. But not only did I fall in love with the city for its beauty and old world charm, ruin bars, fab party scene and breathtaking sunset views of Danube river, but also amazing #veganfood.

Here are my fav vegan restaurants in Budapest that are also Jain friendly:
🌱 @tranzitbyflow - the chef custom made Jain meals for us and everything was yum
🌱 @napfenyes.etterem - their Somali dumplings are out of the world, it’s vanilla carob sponge cake with whipped cream. You can’t leave the city without trying them (I went every day just for this to this restaurant)
🌱 @vegazzihun - vegan pizzeria in Budapest 🥰
🌱 @theplanteen - pancakes & desserts
🌱 @ganeshavegaetelbar - vegan Indian food
🌱 @vegangardenbudapest - not very Jain friendly though
🌱 @szabad_vegan_bistro - call them if u want jain options
