You can either complaint about the problems or can look at the brighter side of it.
Most of the times we create problems and then spend time resolving or sulking about them. Everything has its pros and cons, and its up to us whether we invite negativity or make things simpler, concentrate on the pros and enjoy the little time we have here.
Winter has always been my favourite season and I would always await with moistened lipped anticipation to put the smart coats, chic scarves, high boots and stylish jackets at work. So when I initially moved to Mumbai, the thing that I loathed most about the city was it didn’t have the feel of winter and the disappointment of my favourite pieces of clothing languishing in the back of my closet haunted me. Now I had two choices – nag about the weather or embrace it.
Honestly the later is a more smarter choice. So here am I enjoying Mumbai winter in a bright yellow skirt, which would have been, perhaps, an unthinkable choice in any other part of the world which is plagued with the winter chill at the moment.
This is the first piece of yellow in my closet. Yellow has never been my colour, but this skirt was love at first sight. It just reminded me all that yellow stands for – joy, sunshine, freshness, hope, optimism. It was an instant mood lifter. These images with pop of yellow just reaffirms all that is Yellow!!!
While I miss the winter, now I have the choice of dressing up for winter in my jackets and scarves and visiting places that are well air-conditioned or dressing down and have fun with my summer wardrobe.
I love the combination of bright yellow with magenta shirt and that gorgeous neckpiece.

And while on my recent visit to Delhi, I dared to wear the same thing for a Sunday brunch. The winter was just perfect, pleasant and not cold a weather that will make you want to fall in love with it. While everyone else around was clad in their jackets and denims to protect themselves from the chill, which wasn’t there, I was a standout.
I think everyone found me amusing walking around in an attire that shouted ‘summer’ left, right and center, perhaps, they thought the girl just doesn’t know what winter dressing means. Little did they know that I actually enjoy going against the norms every once in a while. So when I got bored of wearing my winter clothes in a 5 day trip to Delhi, I decided to change things up and stand out from the crowd. And oh I so loved the soothing winter breeze against my skin and the bright yellow in a room filled with patrons clad in palette dominating blacks and greys.
