Most days my nails go bare and a nude nail paint makes this girl happy, but problem is that its hard to not get succumbed by a nice bright colour every once in a while.
A good nail paint is hard to get by, so when you find a brand that makes nail paint that is free from any nasty stuff, is toxin-free and cruelty-free (no animal testing and no animal ingredients) and glides on beautifully you ought to share.
I’ve finally found the perfect colour and consistency in BUTTER LONDON’s ‘3 Free’ Macbeth. You may be wondering its still the traditional pink but look through it’s the pink you’ve been looking for…. super pretty colour that sits perfectly between red and pink. Very rich, chic and sophisticated. (Oh in case you’re wondering, Butter London’s called 3 Free because they use no toxic ingredients like formaldehyde, Toluene, DBP or Parabens)
On a holiday to London last summer, I discovered Butter London’s nail polishes but just tried them on didn’t really buy them. Ever since I had them on my mind and finally ordered them last month. Unfortunately, those are not the sublime hands that ideally should be modeling the pretty colour….. nevertheless those painted nails that you see are worn without a top or a finish coat. The reddish-pink lasted 4 days on my hand nails before it self-destructed itself.
Ahhh after all the blibber blabber you would be thinking its all ok, but where do I get them from? Lucky you, Butter London nail paints are available in India too. You can buy Butter from Urban Shore either from their brick and mortar stores (Urban Shore has flagship stores in Mumbai and Delhi and their nail paints are also available at spas and stores across the country, click here for details) or from their online store (see their online store review here), i.e. if you’re game for online shopping. They retail at Rs 1,200 a bottle, a little steep for a nail paint but it’s money well spent considering they’re free from any harmful toxins and have a great formula.
Here’s so much for pink, I’m kind of planning to get little creative with my nails. Maybe for the next manicure. Although I always wonder 30 minutes is too long to be spending on a trivial task of getting the nail painted and I can think of better ways to spend the time. Nevertheless, here are some colours on my mind, which one do you suggest?
