Ideal for: Romantic getaway, pampering, opulent luxury, perfect for whenever you need some time off for yourself
What: The Fairmont Hotel, Jaipur
Where: Close to the Amer Fort but in the outskirts of Jaipur. Its near the Pink City area, but make sure you stay only when you are travelling as a couple or in a group. Its in a more secluded area so if you’re staying alone its not recommended that you come back late after dark.
Interiors: Keeping with the royal and luxury theme the hotel is tastefully decorated like a palace. Large chandeliors, carved furniture, rich velvet upholstories and amazing bathrooms!!
In fact to give the true royal experience, when you enter the Hotel’s main gate they even do the announcement of your arrival like the old times. They even have copied the gardens from the Taj Mahal where you can stroll {or romance}.
The Rooms: Cosy yet spacious the rooms emitted pure luxury with royal interiors comprising of a large bed, desk, sofa, relaxing chair and a narrow foyer with mirror.
The Bathroom: One of the best parts of the hotel, the bathrooms were a pure delight with beautiful marble floorings, a round bathtub, a separate shower cabinet and toilet. One major plus was the two sinks. I always loathe sharing the bathroom, esp when my roomie uses the sink and wets in everything. But with two in a room I was happy enough to not go through the pain. Also brownie points for their Le Labo toiletories. I’ve been wanting to try Le Labo perfumes {they’re animal-free} but never got a chance and when I spotted its toiletries here I was quite thrilled. Pure luxury and smelled amazing!!
As for the rest the pictures speak for themselves.
The Food: While I don’t eat in mixed kitchen, aka where veg and non-veg is served together, I was told the food was also quite delicious with a luxury of choice and cuisines.
They also serve afternoon tea {complimentary in our case} which was reminiscent of the afternoon English teas at the parlour from Jeeves and I sipped mine at leisure.
Pool & Spa: We went during the long weekend break, which was a busy time for the hotel so we didn’t really take a dive in the pool, but it was a nice pool with the view of the hills and the palace-like hotel. A another tme I would love to sip on my green juice, reading my book and sinking in the pool! The hotel also provided SPA services, which was actually in the next door premises of their sister concern.
I absolutely loved the place and considering nothing is really that far in Jaipur if you are travelling for leisure and sightseeing Fairmont is the place to stay.
