When it comes to styling a look, there’s no denying that a piece of jewelry can immediately spruce up the look. Whether it is a pair of beautiful earrings that instantly lights up your face or a statement necklace that’ll turn a simple tee-jean look from drab to glam – there’s something about jewelry that every woman loves.
Crash is, in fact, one of my favorites. They make jewelry from upcycled metal sourced from luxury cars, that underwent a crash. Each jewelry comes with a certificate mentioning the car its made from and the year too. For example, the black and gold bracelet in the picture is made from a Maserati. How cool is that – trash turned into treasure?
I also love the power of earrings. The much-needed ear-candy has the power to immediately light-up your face. Even Vogue has an article on how effective a simple pair of earrings can be! I have a pair of earrings from British brand Laura Zabo that I absolutely love. They’re super stylish and made from recycled tires.
Not pierced yet? Its time you did. But what piercings should you get? Well, getting your lobe pierced is the standard, but here’s a lot of cosmetic benefits from the other parts of your ear as well – just look up The Ultimate Guide to Daith Piercings if you want to draw away from the piercing crowd and get something more understated and more you.
Statement necklaces are my other favorite when it comes to jewelry. Because honestly, the days of taking a minimalist stance in the jewelry department are long over – the rule of thumb is more the merrier.
For my petite frame, I always choose pieces that are bold but not overpowering. Here’s a little advice on what kind of necklace would be best for you – a long necklace can give someone’s gaze something to follow down, making you seem a bit bigger as they look you up and down. A choker necklace is great if you want to seemingly take a couple of inches off of yourself, as they decorate your lower neck and your collar bones wonderfully. If you’re petite, a smaller charm or stone has the same effect – it puts you into a better proportion if that’s what you’re looking for.
Jewelry is something that changes your entire look, based on how you pair it with who you are and what you’re wearing. But no matter what jewelry you wear, make sure it is sustainably sourced and created. Honestly, being a sustainable fashion consumer takes way less effort and money than you think, and the journey of discovering sustainable brands is so much fun and educative, you’d love that you made the decision to be more conscious of your fashion choices.
