When you happen to buy two styles that you’ve always been scared of and somehow manage to muster the courage to wear them together, you need the buffer period to really understand how it feels – at least this is the situation I found myself in this crop top and boyfriend jeans.
I would hate to be labelled as a ‘trendwhore’ but the boyfriend jeans craze really bit me. The #ootd world of Instagrammers flaunting this style, irrespective of their size or shape and still managing to look fabulous in them, finally won over me and one fine day I ordered this pair online from a UK store. But once I got them I wasn’t so sure of pulling them off and it actually waited in my wardrobe for months until I decided to take the risk.
Pairing it with a pair of pumps seemed logical as these pants desperately needed some sleekness. Considering the grey and blue palette I decided to throw in some print and add colour with my gorgeous vegan falabella bag.
Talking of this bag, while I still regret not buying the longer chain Falabella {oh that one is so much easier to carry than this style} but this delish colour just made me fall in love with it. When I am carrying this bag, I don’t even realise when I get in the act of playing with it and swigging it around, oblivious to the fact that it may look like a ostentatious display of its lux-ness {so I’ve been told}. So if you ever find me doing the act, its just my love for the colour not being the hoity-toity one!!

Off topic, this Stella McCartney vegan handbag was one of my favorites at a time. However, after using over a dozen bags for more than 12 years, I have to say that I am severely disappointed by their falabella styles. The chains make the bag really heavy and they start chipping and fading the powdered color. I hate to say, when I reached out to the brand they didn’t offer any solution. One of my silver falabella bags was used for less than 8 months, and it chipped. When I reached out to Stella McCartney’s customer service they didn’t help and avoided the matter. So much for a luxury “Ethical” brand.

🇳🇱Netherlands now officially recommends reducing meat consumption, cutting cheese intake by half, and increasing plant-based proteins.

Why? Because food choices impacts m our health, and also the climate.

And the shift goes beyond advice….. Amsterdam has even banned meat advertisements in public spaces to encourage lower-emission food choices.

A fascinating example of how climate policy is increasingly showing up in everyday life. 🌱

What can we do?
Let’s ditch animal foods and embrace a plant based diet. Compassion + health

Thought cruelty-free meant no harm to animals? Thought you were buying ethical? Think again 😬😬

👉🏻 There’s a difference brands won’t tell you — 🐰 #crueltyfree doesn’t guarantee no animals were harmed. A cruelty free product can still have fish oil, bug juice or other animal ingredients.

You need to make sure the products you’re buying are both Cruelty-Free & #Vegan!

Let us get back to basics - slow living, clean (#plantbased) eating, buying what we need, ♻️ reusing-repurposing-recycling, treating food as medicine, less screen time and more living, connecting with nature, 🌎 giving planet the respect it deserves!

Because #EarthDay is everyday.

don’t travel solo…
“you’re married, go with your husband” — We’ve all heard this before…
but here’s the truth… solo travel hits different.

you reconnect with yourself, travel at your own pace, do things you love {and finally do everything you wanted to but was always pushing it back}, 🍰 eat what you want (all those vegan desserts without anyone watching you ☺️🙃), talk to strangers (a lot), sit alone without feeling weird ….. and somewhere in all that, you meet yourself.

scary? Not at all.
worth it? every single time. ✨
