First InfluencerCon of Mumbai

London. New York. Berlin. San Paulo. And now in Mumbai. No I am not talking about a designer label or high street brand entry in India – but ‘InfluencerCon‘. The Influencer Conference 2012 is a content platform designed to bring together tastemakers, ground-breakers and game-changers across industries including arts and culture, technology, marketing and advertising, philanthropy and entrepreneurship to discuss the current and future landscape of Influencer culture.

The conference seeks to break down traditional “silo-ed” thinking and encourage cross functionality. Creativity, open and fair exchange, passion, collaboration and a commitment to rich and authentic experiences are critical elements of influencer culture.

Starting today, the 3-day InfluencerCon Mumbai is organised around the sub-themes ‘Inspire’, ‘Engage’ and ‘Disrupt’ where 58 speakers from across industries will talk on topics like ‘Designing India’, ‘Redefining Creativity’, ‘Building Green Machines’, ‘Digital Revolution: Startups, Pirates, & Networks’.

Speaking at the event will be my good self on 5th October 10.30am on ‘Redefining Creativity’ alongside panelists Jayesh Sachdev of Quirk Box and fashion designer Anuj Sharma (famous for his collection Button Masala) and the panel will be moderated by the pretty stylist Nisha Kundani who’s styled the who’s-who of Bollywood (Kangana Ranaut, Anushka Sharma, Amir Khan, Sonam Kapoor, I really don’t need to drop more names now, do I?).

🇳🇱Netherlands now officially recommends reducing meat consumption, cutting cheese intake by half, and increasing plant-based proteins.

Why? Because food choices impacts m our health, and also the climate.

And the shift goes beyond advice….. Amsterdam has even banned meat advertisements in public spaces to encourage lower-emission food choices.

A fascinating example of how climate policy is increasingly showing up in everyday life. 🌱

What can we do?
Let’s ditch animal foods and embrace a plant based diet. Compassion + health

Thought cruelty-free meant no harm to animals? Thought you were buying ethical? Think again 😬😬

👉🏻 There’s a difference brands won’t tell you — 🐰 #crueltyfree doesn’t guarantee no animals were harmed. A cruelty free product can still have fish oil, bug juice or other animal ingredients.

You need to make sure the products you’re buying are both Cruelty-Free & #Vegan!

Let us get back to basics - slow living, clean (#plantbased) eating, buying what we need, ♻️ reusing-repurposing-recycling, treating food as medicine, less screen time and more living, connecting with nature, 🌎 giving planet the respect it deserves!

Because #EarthDay is everyday.

don’t travel solo…
“you’re married, go with your husband” — We’ve all heard this before…
but here’s the truth… solo travel hits different.

you reconnect with yourself, travel at your own pace, do things you love {and finally do everything you wanted to but was always pushing it back}, 🍰 eat what you want (all those vegan desserts without anyone watching you ☺️🙃), talk to strangers (a lot), sit alone without feeling weird ….. and somewhere in all that, you meet yourself.

scary? Not at all.
worth it? every single time. ✨
