After years of discomfort with the flat shoes, I finally gave in to my fear of wearing flats. Oh Ugly! Not kidding, the ugly shoe fever caught me and last week when I spotted this pair at the Charles and Keith store I couldn’t resist buying them. It was more like summer bit me and the citrus hue was pleading – PLS BUY ME!

The best thing I like about Charles and Keith brand is not only do they have stylish shoes and bags, but they are also vegan friendly. Most of their products are leather free, which is a big relief in this {in-compassionate} world of fashion.

don’t travel solo…
“you’re married, go with your husband” — We’ve all heard this before…
but here’s the truth… solo travel hits different.

you reconnect with yourself, travel at your own pace, do things you love {and finally do everything you wanted to but was always pushing it back}, 🍰 eat what you want (all those vegan desserts without anyone watching you ☺️🙃), talk to strangers (a lot), sit alone without feeling weird ….. and somewhere in all that, you meet yourself.

scary? Not at all.
worth it? every single time. ✨

Did you know your fav lipstick may have bug juice 🐞 ? Shocking?
Truth is - most lipsticks in the market contain
🐞 carmine = crushed cochineal beetles
🐑 lanolin = grease derived from sheep’s wool (waxy greasy substance secreted by sheep’s skin)
🐝 beeswax = bee vomit

Who wants to slather their lips with bug juice?
☺️ Didn’t think so.

🤷🏻‍♀️ Why haven’t I mentioned brands like Charles and Keith, Steve Madden that have non-leather options?
👉🏻 Because while they may not use leather, their glues and other materials could be from animals. So unless it’s a vegan brand, or they have a specific vegan collection you can’t be sure of animal materials being used in their products.
